Shipping Policies & Rates

Georgian Stores is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items while in transit.

When placing your order online, You will be required to acknowledge that you have read and understood the following:

  • 1. Prices and availability may change without notice.
  • 2. If you have ordered a USED book and we are out of stock, we will send a NEW book and adjust your bill accordingly. We make every effort to provide used books when requested but sometimes they are purchased by "in-store" customers before we can fulfill for your order.
  • 3. Textbook Rentals must be picked up in-store as we need ID verification. See pickup locations below.
  • 4. Photo ID or a Student Card will be required in order to pick up your delivery.
  • 5. For store pickup, we require 2 to 3 full business days to process your order.
  • 6. On average, your order will be shipped in 3 to 5 working days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer.
  • EXCEPTION: Due to the special packaging and insurance required for diploma frames cost $22.50 to ship within Canada for the first frame. Add $5.00 for each additional frame shipped to the same address.  Delivery for diploma frames will take 3 to 4 weeks.  Due to possible shipping damage, some kits are pick up in store only.
  • All charges are in Canadian dollars
  • Due to restrictions, we're unable to ship outside of Canada at this time.
  • Georgian Stores is providing shipping as a service.  HST will be applied.

Return Policy

Returns are permitted within 10 business days of purchase (unless posted otherwise). All returns require the original sales receipt. Refunds will be issued for original tender only. If payment was made with credit or debit card, the same card must be used for refund for verification purposes. Photo Identification (student card/driver's license) is required for all refunds/exchanges. NO EXCEPTIONS. Georgian Stores and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse any return at any time.

TEXTBOOKS

To be eligible for return, new books must be in PRISTINE CONDITION as determined by the cashier. New books cannot be marked, have a broken spine, turned pages or damaged in any way that may render them non-returnable to the publisher. These returns will be refused by the cashier and management. Used books must be returned in saleable condition. No missing pages or marks making the book unreadable.

NO REFUNDS will be given just prior to, during or just after exam weeks.

IMPORTANT: Shrink wrapped books/book sets/books containing access codes and/or other software are not returnable once the packaging has been removed (unless defective).

TEXTBOOK RENTALS

Our textbook refund policy applies to ALL rentals. Exception: NO RENTAL REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE RENTAL REFUND DEADLINE OUTLINED IN STORE.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are non-returnable: ALL SALE ITEMS MARKED "FINAL SALE", ADOBE SOFTWARE, ALL APPLE ACCESSORIES, COMPUTERS, CONFECTIONARY, ART PAPER, CALCULATORS, SPECIAL ORDERS, CUSTOM PUBLICATIONS, GEORGIAN COLLEGE COURSEPACKS, LYRYX CARDS, EBOOKS, ACCESS CODES, DSVs, OPENED SHRINK WRAPPED ITEMS, STETHOSCOPES, HEADPHONES/EARBUDS and GIFT CARDS.

TECHNOLOGY

Software special orders must be pre-paid in full and are final sale. Adobe prepaid membership cards and software license cards are final sale. Computer orders are final sale. All other technology returns must be unopened and in re-saleable condition. Defective hardware returns within 10 business days of the purchase will only be exchanged for the same product. 

CLOTHING

Clothing may be returned for refund or exchange within 10 business days of purchase with original receipt and price tags attached. Consistent with health and hygienic practices, clothing that has been worn or washed cannot be returned for refund or exchange unless defective.

ONLINE ORDERS

Most products purchased from this site may be returned and shipped back, at the customer's expense, within 10 business days of order process (date on sales receipt), for a full refund on goods only (shipping excluded). Exceptions to this policy include textbooks where the shrink wrap has been removed. The textbook return guidelines are dependent on when the purchase is made. Call 705-728-1968 ext. 1175 or contact us to receive refund authorization. Defective or incorrectly shipped product may also be returned during this same time period. To be eligible for a full refund, products must be in new condition and must be returned with all pieces originally shipped as well as the original box in which the product was shipped. Product that is not defective must be returned unopened. (Do not remove shrink wrap from product that is to be returned.) Please check packing list for return address information. C.O.D. packages delivered will be refused. Shipping/freight charges are not refundable. Once credit is processed, you will receive a call or e-mail stating that the refund has been completed.
