Name Tags:

The name tags can be ordered at Bear Essentials or online. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for your nametag to arrive.  You must check back at the store to see if your nametag is in.

Safety Shoe Requirements:

The item not included in the kit, but required for labs is safety shoes.  The shoes required for the culinary labs are black shoes with slip-resistant soles. The stitching in the shoes should be oil-resistant. The shoes must be made of material that will prevent puncture from a dropped knife. The material must also be easily cleaned and sanitized and prevent the accumulation of soil that can support the growth of pathogens.  The shoes must have closed toes and provide arch support. There are many safety companies that can provide footwear that meets these criteria for a reasonable cost. Please note that if you choose a clog-style shoe, it must be designed for the professional kitchen environment i.e. 'Crocs' are not acceptable.
