IF YOU REQUIRE A NON TRADITIONAL TEXTBOOK (Course packs, custom publications, specialty publications, kits or e-books) to be ADDED TO THE BOOKLIST

Do you require a:

COURSE PACK?

CUSTOM PUBLICATION?

KITS?

SPECIALTY PUBLICATIONS?

EBOOKS?

COURSE PACK

Definition:

If you are compiling a course pack using:

- Your own work
- Compilation of author works (newspaper articles, magazine articles, chapters or excerpts from books)
- Combination of the above

What to do:

Please forward your request to Grenville Printing. Once approved by Grenville please advise your Booklist Contact Person (BCP) if you want this title to appear on the Booklist.

CUSTOM PUBLICATIONS

Definition:

Faculty work with publishers to print a portion of a book to reduce costs for students.

Example: If the title contains 20 chapters of a textbook but faculty only want to refer to 10 chapters then publisher will work with you to create a custom publication.

What to do:

Contact your publisher of choice for direction. Publisher will assign an ISBN that you will submit to your Booklist Contact Person. Please reference Georgian Stores Procedure 3-104 as this is considered a special order and there are strict return guidelines set by the publishers.

KITS

Definition:

A number of products that would be packaged together for your students to allow them to learn and practice their trade.

What to do:

Please contact Kindy Dane at ext. 1205.

SPECIALTY PUBLICATIONS

Definition:

The following would be considered a specialty publication:

- Faculty obtains permission to reprint and sell (through Georgian Stores) complete works from outside organizations NOT compilations of your own work.

Example: Schedule of Benefits, OMDP, Apprenticeship Manuals etc.

What to do:

Please contact Norma Moat at ext. 1204 as there are different policies and procedures for each organization. Norma will work with you to ensure you obtain the correct permissions needed to include this on your booklist.

EBOOKS

Definition:

- An electronic form of a printed textbook
- These will have a different ISBN than the traditional paper text but same content

What to do:

Ask your publishing rep for the correct ISBN. Give this ISBN and title to your Booklist Contact Person who will add this to their booklist submission list. Be sure to ask your publishing rep what the hardware requirements would be for your students so no one is excluded from using this.
