Faculty & Staff - Georgian Stores Purchases
This is an important announcement related to
the future use of Georgian Stores Department Charge Cards.
Please ensure all card holders/card users on your team are aware of
these upcoming changes.
Please be advised effective July 1,
2015, Georgian Stores Department Charge Cards will no longer be accepted
in-store at Bear Essentials locations in Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound or
online at www.georgianstores.com.
The cards will be deactivated by close of business on June 30, 2015.
Please cut and dispose of all existing cards at that time.
In-store and online purchases as of July 1,
2015 should be made following the Georgian College Purchasing Procedure #3-111 using petty cash or PCards
(Georgian MasterCard).
As part of the Finance Transformation Project,
this change will enable budget holders to more effectively manage and control
transactions related to Georgian Stores purchases. It will also provide
departments with detailed, all in one, reporting.
Enhancing our finance and business processes
and systems capabilities is very important and enables the college to more
effectively manage our financial operations.
